  Tie Dye Techniques Ombre Tie Dye Technique A spray bottle helps you use the ombre tie dye technique on fabric. This technique shows a gradu al change in color shade by adding water to the dye. Instructions Add Water to the Bottle Prewash fabric to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets. Do not dry dress. Cover work surface with plastic tablecloth. Lay damp dress on prepared surface. Wearing rubber gloves, add water to dye bottle. Replace cap tightly. Shake until dye is dissolved. Pour Dye into Spray Bottle Pour dye from bottle into spray bottle. Pour Water into Spray Bottle Add water to fill bottle. Shake well. Begin Spraying Dye Spray bottom half of garment first, applying dye about ¼ of the way up. Fill Bottle with More Water Fill spray bottle with more water. Shake well. Spray Another Shade Spray next to dark color and up to about midway on garment. Refer to photo. Fill Bottle with More Water Fill spray bottle with water.  Shake well. Spray Remaining Areas Spray

Bandhani is a type of tie-dye textile performed by plucking the cloth (material used) by finger nails or by putting pulses bead or tiny pebbles and tying the area around with a polyester thread.  • Today most Bandhini making centers are situatied in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Sindh, Punjab regionand in Tamil Nadu where it's known as  Sungudi  . • Earliest evidence of Bandhani dates back to Indus Valley Civilization where dyeing was done as early as 4000 B.C.  • Bandhani is also known as Bandhej, Bandhani  , Piliya, and as per the regional delicate.  • Leheria or leheriya derives from the word lahar, meaning wave is also another unique form of tie dye technique used in Rajasthan.  • Other tying techniques include Mothra , Ekdali and Shikari depending on the manner in which the cloth is tied.  • The final products are known with various names like Khombi, Ghar Chola, Patori and also Chandrokhani. .............................................................................................
